In this Video Guide is show how configurate LIRC to recognize remote control key and use these to control the computer, in particular to control DVB-T programs. The device used to provide the video guide is: AverMedia Volar X.

All system with any Linux distribution
Software Requirements:
1. LIRC
2. VIM editor
Hardware Requirements:
A USB DVB-T device and associated remote control
Before Start:
If the device is not correctly recognized follow this Videoguide
Plug in the DVB-T device in the USB port.
ATTENTION: The command "su" can be executed only in the RPM Package based distribution (Fedora , Mandriva , Suse ...). If you have a DEB Package based distribution instead (Ubuntu , Debian , ...) you must execute "sudo -s" command.

Identification of the device number
cat /proc/bus/input/devices | grep -n10 a815
Modification of the file /etc/sysconfig/lircd or /etc/lirc/hardware.conf
vi /etc/sysconfig/lircd
vi /etc/lirc/hardware.conf
Creation of the file lircd.conf
irrecord -H dev/input -f -d /dev/input/eventX ~/lircd.conf
Copy of the file in the settings directory
cp ~/lircd.conf /etc/
cp /etc/lircd.conf /etc/lirc/
LIRC service start
/etc/init.d/lircd restart
